Happy hour + specials.

Restaurant pages get two share-card variants on top of the default photo-led card — a Menu item card and a Happy hour card. Plus a recurring-schedule surface for happy hours, trivia nights, and live music.

Updated May 16, 2026

Overview

Three card variants, one studio.

Every claimed restaurant gets the default share card automatically. The two extra variants live behind a chooser in the share-card studio.

The cards are designed for Instagram Stories, X/Twitter, and any other surface that pulls an OG image when you paste your restaurant's URL. They're fully styled per your restaurant's brand kit and vibe — same look as your public page.

Note

One more step
The two extra variants (menu item + happy hour) unlock with a subscription. The default photo-led card is included for everyone. Free during launch — every variant is unlocked while we're in early access, no card required.

Menu item

Large dish photo, name in display font, price in accent color, description below, restaurant attribution in the footer.

  1. 1
On your public restaurant page, the owner-only Make menu-item card button next to Edit opens the share-card studio with the menu- item variant pre-selected.
  2. 2
Pick the dish from the dropdown — the studio loads its name, price, description, and photo automatically from your menu.
  3. 3
Tweak anything if you want (a punchier headline, a different background color). The cross-surface preview shows the card live.
  4. 4
Download the PNG or copy the link. The PNG is sized for Instagram (1080 × 1080) and X (1200 × 675).

Tip

The menu-item card reads like a food-magazine spread, which performs better on Instagram than a generic "we have new menu items" post. Pick the dish you'd photograph as a hero shot anyway.

Happy hour

A club-flier-style card for a recurring special.

Bold gradient background, prominent day-time strip, 3-4 highlight bullets, restaurant name + address footer. Reads like a flier.

Best for a recurring weekly happy hour with a few standout deals (e.g. "$5 wells / $7 wines / $3 oysters") rather than a dense menu. Big legible type because most people see the card on a phone screen at low resolution.

What to put on the card

  • Day + time strip — "WED · 5–7PM". The most-readable single piece of info; people decide whether they'll go on this alone.
  • 3-4 highlights — the headline deals. Resist the urge to list everything; the card has to be skim-able.
  • Restaurant attribution — name + address. Auto-filled from your restaurant page.

Live music

The live-music-nights field.

For restaurants that double as music venues — a jazz spot, a wine bar with a Wednesday-night quartet, a brunch place with a Sunday singer-songwriter.

The field surfaces a small calendar widget on your public restaurant page below the menu. It shows the recurring music nights + any one-off shows you've listed as events on out4.

  • Recurring nights — "Jazz trio every Wednesday, 7-10pm". Surfaces as a recurring event card you don't have to recreate every week.
  • Specific shows — Created the same way as any out4 event. They show up both on your calendar and on the booked artist's tour calendar.

Note

Auto-fill from your event history
If you've been hosting shows on out4 already, the live-music field auto-detects the recurring pattern (e.g. "every Tuesday for the last 8 weeks") and offers to set up the recurring schedule for you.

Schedule

The weekly schedule surface.

A grid of every recurring weekly program — happy hour, trivia, open mic, live music. Rendered as a 7-day calendar on your public page.

Set it up in the Studio under the Schedule tab. Add an entry per recurring program:

  • Day of week — Multi-select if it runs more than one day.
  • Time range — Start + end.
  • Name — "Happy hour", "Trivia", "Open mic", "Live jazz".
  • Blurb — One sentence about what to expect.

The schedule grid shows up on your public page and on the OpenGraph share card, so a shared link reads as "Wed 5-7 happy hour, Thu 8pm trivia, Fri-Sat 10pm DJ" at a glance.

Tip

Keep the schedule current. A stale "Wednesday trivia discontinued in 2025" entry erodes trust faster than not having the schedule field at all. We send a quarterly nudge email asking if the schedule is still accurate.
