Claiming your restaurant.
out4 treats restaurants like venues — a public page, a Brand Kit Studio, share cards — with a few food-specific surfaces layered on top: an auto-generated menu PDF, restaurant- specific share-card variants, and a live-music-night schedule for restaurants that double as music venues.
Updated May 16, 2026
Why
Three reasons it's worth claiming.
The claim is free. The features it unlocks are what make it worth the five minutes.
- Verified badge. Same trust signal venues get — a green check next to your name across the platform.
- Menu Studio. Drop your menu and pick a cadence; out4 generates a PDF you can print or link to. See Menus.
- Share-card variants. Restaurant-specific share cards (menu item, happy hour) you can post to Instagram or embed on your site. See Happy hour + specials.
Find
Find your page.
Like venues, restaurants are auto-created on out4 the first time they appear in our data sources. Most established restaurants in our launch markets already have a page.
Claiming a restaurant
- 1Search restaurants on Discover by name. Fuzzy match against name + neighborhood.
- 2Open the page. Unclaimed pages show a banner across the top: "Is this your restaurant? Claim it."
- 3If you can't find your restaurant, keep typing — the search surfaces "Did you mean?" suggestions from Google Places. Tapping one creates the page on the spot, and you can claim it right away.
Submit
The claim form.
Same shape as the venue form, with a couple of restaurant-specific fields.
Your role
Owner, GM, or authorized representative. Affects only the verification questions we ask — the final role granted is Owner regardless of which you picked.
Verification questions
Restaurant business name, year opened, primary cuisine, a public-facing contact number. We'll cross-reference with state business records and the restaurant's public web presence.
Restaurant-specific extras
We optionally ask:
- Do you host live music? If yes, we unlock the live music nights schedule field on your page.
- Do you have a full menu we can ingest? You'll be able to upload it as part of the post-claim flow, but we ask up-front so we can route restaurants with menus into a slightly different onboarding.
Verification
The same review process as venues.
Most claims resolve within 48 hours. Restaurants with a strong public web presence (a real website + active social) are almost always instant.
- Automatic checks against business registries.
- Human review of the form and your restaurant's public web presence.
- Occasional verification call to the public phone number listed on your restaurant's website. ~15% of claims.
Note
After
What you can do once claimed.
The full restaurant surface unlocks.
- Edit the page. Open
/studio/restaurant/<slug>— same Studio shape as venues. Photos, description, hours, address. - Menu Studio. Upload your menu, pick a cadence (layout), and generate the PDF. See Menus.
- Weekly schedule. If you host live music or other recurring programming (trivia, open mic, etc.), the Weekly schedule field lets you publish a recurring calendar.
- Share cards. The default restaurant share card plus the menu-item and happy-hour variants — see Happy hour + specials.
- Event hosting. If your restaurant hosts ticketed events (winemaker dinners, chef's table, pop-ups), the standard out4 event creation flow works the same as for any venue.
