Claiming your venue.

Venues exist on out4 as soon as the first promoter books an event there — we auto-create a public page with the address and show history. Claiming the page hands you the keys: edit the page, add a booking sheet, and get the Verified badge that tells promoters you're the real operator.

Why

Three reasons it's worth the 5 minutes.

Beyond just owning the page, claiming unlocks the booking workflow, gives bookers a trust signal, and lets you control how the venue is represented.

  • The Verified badge. A green check next to your venue's name across the platform. Promoters and artists use it as a trust filter when picking venues for their tours.
  • The Book button. Public venue pages get a prominent Book this venue CTA once claimed, with your booking workflow plugged in (see Venue booking workflow).
  • Full editorial control. Photos, description, tech specs, load-in notes, weekly schedule, social links — all editable from the Studio after claim.

Find

Find your venue's page.

If the venue has hosted a show on out4 already, the page exists. If not, you'll create it during the claim.

Claiming a venue

1SearchFind your venue2SubmitProve you can host3VerifiedOwner role granted
  1. 1
Search at /v (the venue directory) by venue name. Address-based fuzzy match works too — if you don't find your venue by name, try the cross-street or the neighborhood.
  2. 2
Open the venue page. If it's unclaimed, you'll see a banner across the top: "Is this your venue? Claim it." That's the affordance.
  3. 3
If you can't find your venue at all, use the + Add a venue link at the top of the search page. You can submit it for inclusion + claim in the same flow.

Submit

Filling out the claim.

The form takes a few minutes. We ask for enough information to be confident you're the real operator, without making it bureaucratic.

The form has three sections:

Your role

Pick one: Owner, Operator / GM, Talent buyer / booker, or Authorized representative. This affects the verification questions we ask in the next section, not the role you end up with — every successful claim is granted the Owner role on out4 regardless of your day-to-day title.

Verification questions

A short set of role-specific questions. For an owner / operator we ask for the business name on file (so we can cross-check with public records), the date the venue opened (or an approximate year), and contact info we can call back to. We don't ask for tax IDs, lease documents, or anything beyond what a member of the public could reasonably verify.

Contact info

An email + phone number we can reach you at for the verification call (if needed). This is also what we'll use to send the "your claim is approved" email when we're done reviewing.

Warning

Don't submit a claim for someone else's venue
We do reach out to a public-facing number listed on the venue's website to verify, and a rejected claim is logged against your account. Repeat false claims lead to a permanent ban from claiming entities on out4.

Verification

What we do once you submit.

Most claims resolve within 48 hours. A small percentage need a follow-up call.

  • Automatic checks first. We cross-reference your submitted business name against state business registries (where available), and look for an existing claim on the same venue from a different account.
  • Human review next. A real person on our team opens the claim and looks at the submitted answers, the venue's public web presence (website, social), and anything else that helps confirm.
  • Verification call if needed. ~15% of claims get a 2-minute call to a public-facing venue number to confirm the claimant. We don't use any callback you submitted — only numbers that were already public.
  • Approved or denied. Either way, you get an email with the outcome and (if denied) the reason. You can re-submit with corrections.

Note

Timeline expectation
The honest answer is 48 hours, most of the time. If we're backed up or the venue has unusual signal (no public web presence, conflicting claims, recent ownership change), it can stretch to 4-5 business days. Email support@out4.events if you need it faster for a specific show on the calendar.

After

What changes after the claim is approved.

Practically everything about your venue page becomes editable, and the page picks up the Verified badge.

  • Editorial control. Open /studio/venue/<slug> to edit photos, description, tech specs, capacity, address, hours, and the booking-sheet fields.
  • Booking workflow. The Book button on your public page flips on. Bookers see your booking email, workflow link, and the auto-generated PDF booking sheet.
  • Show approvals. When a promoter creates an event at your venue, you get a notification and (if you choose) the ability to approve or reject the listing.
  • Analytics. Page-view impressions, click- through to the Book button, and follower count surface in your dashboard.
